How funny is it that I first thought this place was a trendy new spa in London, well, not at all, this gorgeous Spa is a basement pool and spa within a 15,000 sqft residence in London!
Lavish hotels have long influenced residential interior design desires. Lawson Robb are renowned for creating the ultimate hotel affluence in their client’s homes, recently showcased on a Grade II listed Mayfair residence. Featuring elective 3-way mirroring between the pool and gym areas, the basement spa also includes massage, sauna and steam rooms, a walk-in jet shower located within the adjoining vaults and a secret stone stairway that leads up through a wine cellar to the library above.
Key design features of this Knightsbridge spa include a glass bridge running above a central light well to throw natural daylight into the spa below, also allowing clients to enjoy the view. A plunge pool and massaging waterfall have been incorporated, as well as a sauna and steam room using heated glass. Mirror linen cupboards reflect the vaulted ceilings, teak strips and chiselled stonework and house a discreet TV while clever lighting solutions conceal the necessary services and infrastructure such as AC and Ventilation.
The top floor of this Belgravia home was transformed into a private spa with a crisp modern and minimalist approach. Steam room, sauna and shower are enclosed and separated with glazed panels while the space is finished with techno gym equipment and bi-folding doors that provide a seamless transition to the external terrace and outdoor fireplace.
